Shift designs sustainable outdoor furnishings built to endure in both form and function. Envisioned as a flexible toolkit for architects and designers, our collection is fully customizable with tailored colors and configurations. We prioritize high-impact design through low-impact production processes.


Shift is directed by Tim Barnes and Mario Gentile and was established in 2009. The collection features designs from Philadelphia-based multi-disciplinary studio Shiftspace. Voices of architects, artists, craftspeople, and industrial designers come together at Shift, fusing sustainability and expressive design for outdoor environments.

Furniture is integral to the way we experience spaces.

Our designers study and reconsider convention to engage each design with a distinct story. The collection employs forms and materials, both natural and synthetic, that embrace durability. This enhanced flexibility means the pieces can be used as street furniture or placed indoors for hospitality and residential environments.
