Conceived as a toolkit for architects and designers, fully customizable furniture and accessories forge lasting connections between spaces, landscapes, and the people that enjoy them. Shift produces high-impact designs through low-impact means and materials — made-to-order in regional workshops close to our customers.
Shift is directed by Tim Barnes and Mario Gentile and was established in 2009. The collection features designs from Philadelphia-based multi-disciplinary studio Shiftspace. Voices of architects, artists, craftspeople, and industrial designers coalesce at Shift, fusing environmental sensitivity and expressive design for distinctive outdoor environments.

Our designers study and reconsider convention to engage each design with a distinct story. The collection employs forms and materials, both natural and synthetic, that oppose a throwaway mentality and embraces durability. This enhanced flexibility means the pieces can be used as street furniture or placed indoors for hospitality and residential environments.
